AvediaStream Encoder


DESCRIPTION 

AvediaStream Encoder blades create a single MPEG channel on your building or campus IP network from the output of various video devices. These include digital cameras, DVD/Blu-ray players, the output from a digital signage system/PC screen, and even set-top boxes for premium TV channels. AvediaStream Encoder blades accept  both standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) MPEG encoding.

As part of an Exterity Building IPTV solution, AvediaStream Encoders deliver four primary benefits:

  • Easily add and distribute multiple channels to hundreds or thousands of users: adding display devices does not degrade picture quality
  • More granular control over channel access than traditional coaxial systems: by user or group
  • Most efficient use of LAN bandwidth via standard multicast technology
    Reduce demand for internet bandwidth; channels are multicast accross the LAN, rather than delivered as multiple high-bandwidth streams through the internet gateway
  • Some AvediaServer encoders provide IR out, allowing optional end-user control of AV sources via the IP network

AvediaStream e2110 Encoder

  • MPEG-2 video encoding from devices such as DVD players, set-top boxes and video cameras

AvediaStream e2220 Encoder

  • MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video encoding from devices such as DVD players, set-top boxes and video cameras
  • SD encoding at 128Kbps to 15Mbps; ideal for off-campus channel delivery
  • Three video input options: Composite, Component and RGsB
  • Balanced or unbalanced stereo or AES digital audio inputs
  • IP multicast or up to 10 unicast address destinations

AvediaStream e2250 Encoder

  • Integrates with broadcast equipment to support best-quality, uncompressed video sources
  • Stream video from a Serial Digital Interface (SDI SMPTE 259M) in MPEG-2 or MPEG-4
  • SD encoding at 128Kbps to 15Mbps; ideal for off-campus channel delivery
  • MPEG-4 Simple Profile @ L1, L2 and L3
  • AES digital audio or SDI embedded audio (single audio pair from eight available)
  • IP multicast or up to 10 unicast address destinations

AvediaStream e2522 Encoder

  • Scales HD content to SD to create a low bitrate channel on your IP network
  • Single channel component via BNC
  • Better quality at lower bit rates: SD with H.264 compression
  • Supports multicast and unicast

AvediaStream e2532 Encoder

  • Scales HD content to SD to create a low bitrate channel on your IP network
  • Encodes video from any HDMI/VGA source

AvediaStream e3520 Encoder

  • Single-channel HD component, SD component, and SD composite video input via BNC
  • Supports up to HD H.264 High Profile Level 4.0 at 1080i resolution
  • Encoding at up to 20Mbps
  • Balanced or unbalanced stereo or AES digital audio inputs

AvediaStream e3530 Encoder

  • MPEG-4 H.264 video encoding from devices such as Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, video cameras and PCs
  • Single channel HD AV and RGBHV inputs support PCs (VGA) and any HDMI-equipped source
  • Supports both SD and HD encoding up to 1080i
  • Supports multicast and unicast for greater control and flexibility

AvediaStream e3532 Encoder

  • MPEG-4 H.264 video encoding from devices such as Blu-ray disc players, digital signage systems, PCs (VGA), set-top boxes and video cameras
  • Supports HD 1080p/1080i and SD encoding
  • Single channel HD AV and RGBHV inputs support PCs (VGA) and any HDMI-equipped source
  • Supports multicast and unicast

AvediaStream e3550 Encoder

  • Stream video from HD SDI and SDI (Serial Digital Interface SMPTE 259M and 292M) in MPEG-4 H.264
  • Integrates with broadcast equipment to support best-quality, uncompressed video sources
  • Supports up to HD H.264 High Profile Level 4.0 at 1080i resolution
  • Encoding at 2Mbps to 20Mbps
  • Signal loop through enables insertion of IP head-end into broadcast cabling with no effect on downstream broadcast equipment
  • AES digital audio or SDI embedded audio (single audio pair from eight available)
