Polycom Marks 25 Years of Industry Leadership by Announcing Innovative Solutions that will Transform Collaboration Experiences and be the First to Put People at the Heart of Collaboration
The second of a number of solutions announced by Polycom this week is the Polycom RealPresence Centro – a collaboration solution built to put people at the centre of collaboration.
Polycom has launched the RealPresence Centro to provide a professional video collaboration solution for rooms that area designed for more open and effective collaboration, over the traditional boardroom or conference room layout. Built with instinctual human behaviour in mind, people feel comfortable collaborating around a table rather than facing one direction in the room.
Polycom have implemented their patented 360 degree voice and video technology that automatically tracks the speaker, whilst also showing the whole meeting room on the same screen. The Polycom RealPresence Centro puts those remote meeting participants in the middle of the conversation, greatly improving engagement and vastly improving outcomes of the meeting.
The Polycom RealPresence Centro includes touch screens that make it simple and intuitive for participants to start, control and manage a meeting. It also offers wireless pairing with mobiles, tablets and laptops, and includes proximity sensors that enable intelligent interaction.
“Today, we are taking a quantum leap in achieving our vision of unleashing the power of human collaboration,” said Peter Leav, Polycom’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
“We believe the RealPresence Centro solution will revolutionise how people will collaborate,” said Gus Mommers, IT Director, NIAS Manager, NATO Communications and Information Agency, NCIA.
The Polycom RealPresence Centro is available to order from today from VideoCentric, and will be shipping early 2016.
